Certified EFT Couple Therapist

I have a therapeutic style that is affirming, curious, collaborative, and inclusive. I believe in candor and the value of a genuine relationship with my clients, and therefore bring a strengths-based approach to focus on each client’s unique goals. I work from an attachment perspective, which translates to focusing on the emotions and needs that drive behavior in relationships. I also regularly incorporate mindfulness practice into my work with individuals and couples.

I’m certified in the practice of EFT, which is Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples. EFT is an evidence-based approach to strengthening a couple’s connection and security. While it’s focused on helping couples repair and strengthen their bond, it also informs my work with individuals. I am committed to thoughtfully approaching my work with clients whose racial, cultural, gender, sexual, and social backgrounds differ from mine. Trained as a clinical social worker, I also approach my work with an acknowledgment and sensitivity to the context of systemic oppression and injustice that exists in this country.
